After an exciting day of hunting begins one of the most important aspects of a real hunt.

Handling the game in a way that is 100% respectful and careful.

Everything that is caught is completely used, without waste. The fresh game becomes part of the Hotel Dorfschmiede’s menu, or ends up in our own smoker and curer to be made into game sausage or smoked meats, using special smoke aromas and seasonings created by Heribert Wolf. The most important thing for us is that everything is used and nothing is wasted: bones are used to make tasty soups and sauces, and fur becomes cushions, covers and clothing.

At the end of a day’s hunting, you can sit together in the Fuhrmannstube and mull over the indescribable Alpine hunting experience over a glass of good wine and a tasty homemade meal.

Happy hunting, or as we say…
Waidmannsheil!
