Not only in winter are spirits high in Salzburg province. Even in summer, many paths in the airy heights are open for all walkers, hikers and sunbathers. Four modern cable-cars take you up to the Pinzgau grass covered mountains, where you are a bit closer to heaven. Up to 2000 meters altitude you are whisked by cable-car in full comfort. Then the ways part: mountain bikers have 200 km of marked trails to choose from, hikers explore the landscape on 400 km of high alpine trails and in winter skiiers will go whizzing down the mountain slopes. And for refuelling simply meet up at one of the 30 tradtitional alpine huts which serve food and drink. It has been known to happen that people have been truly overcome by an alpine “high.”
